Development in Academic Domains such as reading, writing, mathematics, sciences, art, music, etc., are constantly changing, but are our classrooms?
One problem many teachers and educators face is that children "hate" or "dislike" the subject at hand. How can they fix this? What is the solution? Is technology the answer?
Dan Meyer discusses this issue in a Ted Talk about math classes specifically, and how educators and re-wire their student's brain's to not hate mathematics. He stresses the importance of educators being exited and compelled to teach their students as well as ways to prepare and more effectively teach mathematical concepts. Meyer also discusses the use of multimedia to engage students visually and connect to the world around them in the classroom. His main point: we need to get kids thinking.

So the answer to the questions above is not simple. No one change in curriculum or teaching style is going to "fix" every "problem" in the classroom. We must learn to use technology along with fundamental teaching practices to excite our children about learning in a classroom. We must encourage children to think.
